Pension Age Disability Payment (PADP) replaces Attendance Allowance for new claimants in Scotland from 2025/26. It supports people of pension age who need help with personal care due to a physical or mental condition. There is no mobility component (unlike ADP), and it is not means-tested.

England's Attendance Allowance uses the same two rates (lower £73.90/week, higher £110.40/week). The difference is administration: PADP is run by Social Security Scotland, with a process designed to be more accessible for older applicants.
