Child Disability Payment (CDP) replaces Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children in Scotland. It is for children under 16 who need extra care, supervision, or help with getting around due to a physical or mental condition. Like ADP, it is not means-tested and is not taxable. Social Security Scotland transfers existing DLA claimants to CDP automatically.

CDP uses the same rates as DLA for Children (England/Wales). The key difference is that CDP is administered by Social Security Scotland rather than the DWP, and Scotland's application process is designed to be more supportive.
